Four more items down, which brings my total up to 8! I started on March 10th, so it’s been just over three weeks so far. Here’s what I’ve just finished:
1. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream
I received two small tubs of this cream around Christmastime as part of some kits from The Body Shop. Each tub contained 0.5 oz of product, as opposed to the full size which contains 1.8 oz. I’m glad I received two mini-tubs because I think it is a really great face moisturizer. Despite some people’s comments that the smell is very grandma-y, I actually really like it. It’s quite floral, but in a fresh way as opposed to musty. The cream applies smoothly and absorbs quickly, and the Vitamin E can help diminish the appearance of acne scarring or dark marks left behind from blemishes.
2. Rimmel London Vinyl Bronze Mirror Shine Lipgloss
This is my favorite lipgloss of all time! This one was my third tube, and I’m still just as in love it with it as always. It’s a gorgeous pinky-peach color with a subtle hint of gold sparkle. It runs for around $4 at any drugstore. The scent is fruity and delicious, and it doesn’t taste half bad either (hey, who hasn’t tried a lick of lipgloss at some point?) I think it’s a universal lipgloss that will compliment any lipstick you put it over, but that also looks great on its own as well. It’s not completely opaque, but not sheer either – it’s the perfect in-between consistency. Overall, I would highly encourage anyone to check out this lipgloss and give it a try!
3. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
I bought the entire 3-step Skincare System from Clinique last December, and have used the products for almost four months. I bought the smallest sizes available, since I didn’t know what to expect from the products. The Moisturizing Gel I have is a 1.7 fl. oz. tube. The Gel is meant for people with combination or oily skin – typically, level 3 or 4 in Clinique’s Skin Type chart. However, I am a Level 2, which means I have dry cheeks but some oiliness in my T-zone. I really wanted to try the Gel though, because i thought it would be better for the oily parts of my skin, as opposed to the Lotion which I don't think is oil-free
I will say that I like this product, but it’s not a holy grail item or anything like that. It does its job and isn’t too heavy or sticky, which I like. However, I did not end up liking the entire 3-Step system, so I will not be repurchasing.
4. Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener
I don’t use this product under my eyes as the name suggests, because the orangey tone makes my under eyes appear too dark. The orange is supposed to counter-correct the blue under your eyes, and I’m sure it would work well for anyone with tan, medium, or dark skin, but for half-albinos like me (well, not really, but I might as well be) it’s simply too dark. Lately I have been using this product to highlight my cheekbones, and I really like the dewy look it gives.
So that’s all for today! Hope you enjoyed the mini reviews, and feel free to e-mail me or comment if you have any questions about anything I’ve mentioned :)
stay sunny, hunnies!
